Hometown Heroes Project
When some grateful citizens from the town of Bethlehem wanted to honor the veterans of their town, they needed a skilled graphic designer to design a banner that clearly communicates details about each veteran. The banners are mounted on the streetlight poles lining the main roads in town. Each banner reflects an image of the veteran and their name, rank, and dates of service.
Some photographs required touch up to ensure they could be clearly appreciated from a distance. A veteran from the civil war is honored with an image preserved in the local museum. Some images had degraded due to time and handling, were faded, or were provided as photographs of photographs (not original). Adjusting light, dark, clarity, and cropping ensured the images were consistently sized and able to be seen clearly on the roadside banners.
The final step was to communicate with the printing company to ensure the banners were printed and shipped as agreed and the invoice paid. The end result is a collection of banners that honor the local heroes of Bethlehem.
